A Worthwhile Pursuit for Teens

There are many teens out there, just like you, who are looking for something positive to do with their time. Being a teenager brings a lot of pressure and expectations from other people—from your parents to your teachers to your friends. Sometimes you may feel as if you are the only person in the group who thinks like you do. Hopefully you understand that you are not alone. There are other people out there who know that having fun is not about getting drunk or using drugs.

You can have a lot of fun with like-minded people, those who understand that being a positive member of the community is a worthwhile way to spend their time. However, you may think it’s hard to meet these people. One place where you will find a lot of friends throughout Pinellas County is at a LiveFree! Youth Club. Our clubs have a presence in a number of schools throughout Pinellas County. Right now we have clubs at:

• Dunedin High
• Pinellas Park High
• Tarpon Springs High

What Are LiveFree! Clubs?

LiveFree! Youth Clubs bring together teens who want to live happy and fun lives without depending on substances to provide fake fun. You get to make new friends and find ways to get involved in the community. There are opportunities to educate other students about how to be healthy and still have a good time. You can also talk to parents and other adults so that they understand the challenges you face and can help make things better for everyone.

Let Your Voice Be Heard

On top of making friends and helping others, you get to play an active role in your community. Who knows what teens think better than other teens? No one! LiveFree! Youth Clubs work together to come up with ideas about how to approach kids and the rest of the community. You can share your ideas and work with your friends to come up with the best ways to reach out and make a difference. Don’t forget that there are a lot of opportunities to have fun along the way.
